Welcome to St. Patrick's!
Year of the Eucharist
Our three parishes began a “Year of the Eucharist” with the feast of Corpus Christi Sunday June 3, 2018.
We are being invited by God to enter more deeply into the mystery of Jesus, truly present among us in the Most Blessed Sacrament. To help facilitate a deeper devotion to Jesus in the Eucharist there will be a “cool quote” included in the bulletin each week from the saints about our belief in the Eucharistic presence of Jesus.
In addition to the cool quote, Fr. David is leading a special Holy Hour of Adoration each Sunday afternoon at 3:00pm at St. Patrick’s in Havana. During this time Fr. David and the Holy Spirit will teach you how to pray more deeply and you will experience a deeper peace in your soul as well as a deeper union with God. Please arrange your schedule to come as often as you can and witness the transformation of your own heart in Christ Jesus.
Further, Fr. David will be leading a summer bible study on the Eucharist. We will begin by studying the 6th chapter of St. John’s Gospel. It will be held at St. Patrick’s in Havana at 7-8pm on Thursdays beginning June 14th. Through this study, you will gain a much deeper knowledge and understanding of the gift and mystery of the Holy Eucharist.
Each week St. Patrick’s publishes a bulletin containing mass times and event information for the upcoming week. Check out the current bulletin to see what’s happening!
The Church recognizes seven sacraments or ceremonies that point to what is sacred, significant and important for Catholics. They have a visible and invisible reality; a reality open to all the human senses. We can only grasp their God-given depths with eyes of faith.
St. Patrick’s is located on Orange Street in Havana, IL. There is also a parking lot off of Plum Street, one block North of Dearborn.
